Mass and the lockdown

Recently, the restrictions placed on Catholics and Christians, in the practice of their Faith, is intolerable in a democratic society. The Constitution guarantees the practice of the Catholic and Christian Faith, without hindrance from the State. Archbishop Eamon Martin, Primate of all Ireland, has criticised this Government for their draconian measures against the Faith. These include, restricting, numbers at Mass  to 50, in Churches that can hold 1,000, no Holy Communion for the Young or Confirmation, In addition, numbers at weddings and funerals are also restricted. Priests are being fined for saying Mass and, in some instances, people attending are having their names recorded. This is akin to the infamous old Penal Laws that were introduced. (which forced some some priests to celebrate Mass on covert Mass Rocks)
